Our client tasked us with creating a space that would appeal to a demographic that would has a love affair with the more bespoke items in life. The studio worked through many conceptual ideas through the decades that spoke to this idea, and ended up on a single object that exuded this ideal, the 1957 Mercedes Benz Gullwinged coupe. We redesigned the façade to reference the car’s fluid lines, and created a motif throughout all of the interior spaces that referenced the discerning bespoke nature of the car and all that it embodies.
Collaborators, IBI focused on the exterior facade execution of our concept, site layout, and overall architecture, while our studio focused facade design, materials, and interior architecture of all common spaces.
