The ability to manifest an idea into physical being requires imagination, sensitivity and empathy. Growing up in the backwoods of New Hampshire, I was introduced to these skills at a young age. The picturesque landscapes ingrained a love and empathy for the natural environment while forgotten artifacts and the deteriorating foundations of a bygone era spark my imagination. These experiences have embedded in me a speculative understanding of the world, imagining what has been and what can be. I carry this speculative and imaginative perspective with me as a designer, serving as a tool to achieve a sustainable, user-centric and beautiful architecture.
